Saltine crackers are also called as Soda crackers because of the Baking Soda is one of their ingredients.
They may be square or rectangular or round shaped, having tiny holes or docker holes that are punched in them before going into oven with salt on the tops.
They are made with All purpose flour, Yeast, butter or odorless vegetable oil or edible oil, little salt and Sugar.
They are crispy, buttery, flaky and more tasty.. They are noted for its dry texture, crispiness and salty flavour.
They can be paired with soups, stews or dips by crumbling and added to.
All purpose flour 260 gm
Active dry yeast 2 tsp
Baking Soda 1/4 tsp
Powdered Salt 1/4 tsp
Unsalted Cow butter 2 tbsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Lukewarm Water 60 ml
Cold pressed Sunflower oil 35 ml
Lemon juice 1/4 tsp
Key Ingredients:
All purpose flour 260 gm
Active dry yeast 2 tsp
Powdered Salt 1/4 tsp+extra Salt to Sprinkle
Baking soda 1/4 tsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Unsalted Cow Butter 2 tbsp+extra butter to brush the top of the crackers-dough
Coldpressed Sunflower Oil 35 ml+extra oil to smear the dough
table lemon or lemon juice 1/4 tsp
Lukewarm Water 60 ml
Take the all purpose flour, yeast, baking soda, Powdered salt, sugar, luke warm water, Unsalted cow butter 2 tbsp and table lemon juice(we can use lemon juice or cream of tartar of our choice and availability) in a dry mixing bowl.
Combine everything together.
